League Play

League Play is on Thursday nights at Eisenhower Golf Course, located in Crownsville, Maryland.
Weather permitting, League nights normally start the first week in April and continue thru the night of the Club Championship in mid September. Some members continue to enjoy playing together during the month of October.
Tee times are available from 4:30 pm - 5:30 pm.

Call the Pro Shop to reserve your tee time at 410-571-0973. When the message begins HIT 3 to have the call transfered directly to the Pro Shop. When you request your tee time mention that you are with CLGA.

Theme Nights are held on the 2nd Thursday of the month (May - August). Follow the instructions sent out by email to sign-up for each Theme Night. Format on Theme Nights is a shot gun start that begins at 5:30 pm with dinner at Rams Head on Generals Highway, raffle and prizes to follow. Teams for Theme Night are derived in advance, based on handicap. Points towards the Club Championship are awarded on Theme Nights as follows: 1 point for participating, 5 points for participating in the theme night activity and finishing in 1st, 2nd and 3rd place team.

On all other Thursday League nights, members are responsible to obtain their own tee time. Games are selected by the League Chair each week. The game can be picked up at the Pro Shop during check-in. Many members stay after play for a drink, food and socializing. This year we will be meeting at Rams Head on Generals Highway. Winners are announced each evening after all game cards have been collected. Sometimes we will need your score card if there's a tie for first place or to determine the top 10 golfers. League night points are awarded as follows: 1 point for participating and 5 points for each of the top ten (10) golfers who score the best on the game played that evening. As a side note, the score on the game does not necessarily correlate to an individual's golf score for the 9 holes.

Point totals for each member are posted each week. At the end of the season, the top 10 individuals who score the most points by the end of the season will participate in the Club Championship. The Club Championship is played with handicaps, so every member has a chance to be the CLGA Club Champion.
